The nice people at Le Pub have realised the difficulties small promoters have in breaking even when putting gigs on and the stress that it causes. Losing £30 or £40 is a big deal for someone who's just trying to put on a band they like for the entertainment of other people, it's not too bad though if you're the venue and can make it back with bar takings. This is why Le Pub has come up with a corking little deal.

If you want to put on a gig on a Friday or Saturday, Le Pub will chip in up to £150 for the bands plus sound guy plus a door person. They'll charge £2 entry for the gig and keep the cash to cover costs. You won't make a profit but you won't spend weeks worrying about losing money, you're free to get on with the actual job of promoting the gig!! Ideal if you want to put on a band you love but are worried about costs, also great for punters who can get into the gig cheaply and check out some bands they might not know too much about.
