Derdang! This is a bit of bearded quality and no mistake. I’ve got happy memories of seeing the Archie Bronson Outfit at 2008′s Green Man festival, and getting severe noodle twist from their skronking saxophone garage attack. For their new ‘Coconut’ album, they’ve enlisted Tim Goldsworthy, recently estranged founder of DFA, on production values. How do they sound now? Someone send me the album and I’ll tell you. This band will conquer though, no doubt. And Alexander Tucker as support! Finger-picking-drone-loop-brain-flaying good news all round.
