The Sick Livers played their first gig @ The Legendary Tjs at the end of last month, featuring such legendary people as Ginge Knievil (Vox), VJ – (Guitar), Matty – (Sticks), and Dai – (Bass) who are a South Wales super punk band who have played in some of these bands: Black Eye Riot; The Viva Knievils; Strawberry Blondes; Shrapnel; Smash TV; Giraffe; Legs Akimbo; The Fuel Explosion; 8.4% ,just too name a few.

The Swinging Stylers
Formed in Newport in late 2008 The Swinging Stylers come from reminants of many other newport Punk, indie and metal bands with a Street performer as they’re front man. There sound has been compared to that of the Dead Kennedys and poison idea with a little bit of sublime and even System of A down thrown in there. They are a voice for a let down and dissatisfied Newport, and a voice for the desperately bored working man whose only comfort resides in drugs drink and sexual depravity. They are not clean cut youngsters pumping out the tired floppy haired nonsense which is plagueing myspace, venues and rock charts. They are force to be reckoned with!
