Eighth Wave formed in their hometown Wigan in 2006 when Si Roddam, Chris Wainwright, Matt Ashton and Scott Steel joined forces with a mutual love for indie pop/rock music. From performing alongside established UK chart acts to working with top producers, such as LA’s Michael Raphael (Busted/SonOfDork/Neve), the band already have a wealth of achievements and experience. With a recipe of song writing talent from Si (singer/rhythm guitarist) and astounding musical talent from Matt (bass guitar), Scott (lead guitar) and Chris (drums), Eighth Wave are tipped for the top and have already been compared to international bands Fall Out Boy, U2, Orson and The Calling. Their debut release ‘Worlds Collide’ will be featured on the soundtrack of the British movie ‘Hotel Caledonia’, which is due for release early 2008. The band is currently recording their debut album, which is yet to be titled, with a helping hand from Steve Rushton (Son Of Dork lead singer/guitarist) and rock producer/engineer Andy Giblin (Slipknot,iDefi, Profane)
